The $2,000 account
It is deposited all at once on July 1 and spent through the state's platform on curriculum, approved online courses, tutoring, testing and therapies.
Microschools in the finder
Acton Academy North San Antonio, Primer, and several Prenda microschools are in the state finder as schools, so their students are funded at $10,474, not $2,000.
Hybrids
Two- and three-day programs are paid from the $2,000 account only if they are approved vendors. Ask before you enroll.
Tutors
Approved tutors must meet the Comptroller's credential policy. We list the approved tutoring providers based in the San Antonio area.
