Funding fit
Central Catholic High School was in the Texas Comptroller's TEFA participating-school finder when we checked on October 11, 2026, so a student with a Texas Education Freedom Account can use it here. For 2026-27 the account is $10,474 per student. It's paid to the school through the Odyssey platform in three deposits: 25% on July 1, 25% on October 1 and 50% on February 1. To be in the program, a school has to be accredited by a TEPSAC-recognized body or TEA, have operated for at least two school years, and give a norm-referenced test every year in grades 3-12.
As a Catholic school, it is part of a system the Archdiocese of San Antonio says takes TEFA on all 35 of its campuses. If a family doesn't receive TEFA, the Archdiocese's Hope for the Future tuition assistance is the next place to look. Parish and sibling rates must keep applying for TEFA families.

Questions to ask
- Are you confirming seats for families awarded in the next TEFA cycle, and how do you handle late awards?
- What is tuition for my child's grade, and which fees (registration, books, technology, uniforms, lunch) can come from the account?
- Which discounts do you offer, such as sibling, church member or military, and what aid is there for the balance?
- Will you accept the TEFA payment schedule (25% July, 25% October, 50% February), or do you need a deposit from personal funds?
- Which dual-credit partners do you use, and can those course fees come from the account?
