Funding fit
Bracken Christian School was in the Texas Comptroller's TEFA participating-school finder when we checked on October 11, 2026, so a student with a Texas Education Freedom Account can use it here. For 2026-27 the account is $10,474 per student. It's paid to the school through the Odyssey platform in three deposits: 25% on July 1, 25% on October 1 and 50% on February 1. To be in the program, a school has to be accredited by a TEPSAC-recognized body or TEA, have operated for at least two school years, and give a norm-referenced test every year in grades 3-12.
The school reports special-education services or a learning-differences focus. If a TEFA student has a current IEP on file with TEA, the account is larger. For a Comal ISD resident it's about $16,011 to $17,156 for regular-campus IEP settings, capped at $30,000.
Christian schools often offer church-member rates, sponsorships and sibling discounts, and the state's guidelines say those discounts must continue for TEFA families. Church-run schools may also qualify for the Edu Fund partner scholarship, which has no income cap.

- What is tuition for my child's grade, and which fees (registration, books, technology, uniforms, lunch) can come from the account?
- Which discounts do you offer, such as sibling, church member or military, and what aid is there for the balance?
- Will you accept the TEFA payment schedule (25% July, 25% October, 50% February), or do you need a deposit from personal funds?
- Which IEP settings and needs do you have room for, and do you bill on-campus therapy as a school fee?
- Which dual-credit partners do you use, and can those course fees come from the account?
